Terms of sale.

To buy a Hacker Blue theme you must be able to enter into a binding contract, and you must meet the age rule the checkout applies. A Hacker Blue purchase runs on Whop, and Whop’s Terms of Service require a user to be at least 13 years old, or older where the law where you live sets a higher minimum age. If you are between 13 and 18, those terms require a parent or guardian to have reviewed and agreed to them and to supervise your use, and Whop’s Youth Safety Policy treats a purchase by someone under 18 as given with parental consent. By buying through that checkout you confirm you meet its eligibility rules.

You buy for yourself as an individual. A Hacker Blue licence is personal to the buyer and does not cover a team, company or other organisation. The checkout may ask you for more information to verify your identity or the payment, and it may refuse or reverse a purchase that does not pass those checks.

Hacker Blue is the supplier of the theme files. We describe the product, set the licence, deliver the files, handle product support and decide refunds for product issues.

Whop provides the checkout and payment processing. Whop’s Seller Terms describe its role in card-network rules and payment settlement separately from its optional Tax Service. Only when Whop Collects and Remits is enabled does Whop, or its designated affiliate or payment partner, act as merchant of record for sales tax, VAT and similar transaction taxes on affected transactions in supported jurisdictions. Hacker Blue remains the seller and supplier of the theme and is responsible for the product, its licence, delivery, support and product refunds. Whop is what appears on your card statement as the payment processor, and Hacker Blue is identified to you as the supplier on the receipt and at checkout.

Nothing on this site contradicts Whop’s terms. Where they speak about the payment itself, they govern.

A Hacker Blue theme is a set of digital theme files for the application named on that theme’s page; an Obsidian theme, a kitty terminal theme, and so on. Installing it changes that application’s appearance. What a theme changes, and how it looks, varies with the application, its version, your operating system and your own settings.

Hacker Blue sells two kinds of one-time product. A single-theme product: HackerBlue for <App>, for example HackerBlue for Obsidian; covers that one app’s theme. HackerBlue Complete covers every Hacker Blue theme included in Complete; every theme released today, and every theme released later. A purchase is a single payment: there is no subscription, nothing renews, and nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy another product.

The free theme. HackerBlue for Ghostty is free. A Hacker Blue account claims it with one click, there is no checkout and no payment, and the licence it creates is on the same terms as a paid theme's. Nothing in these terms about payment, price or refund applies to it; everything about the licence, the devices, updates and suspension does.

Choosing several themes. You can tick several single themes and pay for them in one payment through Whop. The price is the single-theme price for each theme you choose, added up, and the theme picker shows the total before you continue and Whop's checkout shows it again before you pay; choosing every theme on sale is priced as HackerBlue Complete instead, and Whop's checkout says so. Each chosen theme is a separate licence, all created when Whop confirms that one payment.

Updates are included. When Hacker Blue publishes an update for a theme your licence covers, you can download and install it under the same licence at no extra charge. A version change never asks a licensed customer to pay again. This is not a promise of future releases or of a release schedule.

Your licence starts when the purchase completes and stays active unless the purchase is refunded or reversed, or the licence is suspended or revoked. The checkout states the access period, what is delivered and how, and the licence that comes with it.

A theme changes the appearance of the application it is made for. It is provided as it is, and Hacker Blue does not warrant that it will look the same on every version of every application: an update to the application, a change to its settings, or another theme or plugin can change how a theme renders, and that is outside our control. What we do warrant is our own work, that the theme files will install, and will work with the version of the application they were published for, and that a theme we cannot deliver, or one that does not work as its page describes, is a refund under Refund.

To the extent the law allows, Hacker Blue’s total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost time or lost profits, or for a change in the appearance of an application we did not make. That limit does not apply where the law does not allow it.

Nothing in these terms removes a right the law gives you, and if you are a consumer, the statutory rights you have where you live stay exactly as they are: the EU, EEA and UK 14-day withdrawal right described on Refund, the guarantee that a digital product matches its description, and every other mandatory consumer protection in your country.

A purchase is tied to a Hacker Blue account, signed in with Google or an email address and a password. The account pages show the licences you own and the devices you have activated, and License sets out what the licence lets you do.

You may use the theme yourself on any devices you own or control, including a work device, with up to three active at a time. You may share screenshots, videos and streams showing the theme, including in your work; sharing or redistributing the theme files remains forbidden. You can deactivate a device from your account. Delivery is digital: the HackerBlue CLI downloads and installs the theme on an authorised device, and the protected files are never served from a public URL.

License says a licence stays active unless it is suspended or revoked. Those are the grounds:

• Redistribution or resale. The theme files are shared, uploaded, published, resold or passed on to someone who did not buy them; the things License lists under “What you may not do”.
• The device limit. A licence is activated on more than three devices at the same time, or it is used for other people or for a team, company or organisation.
• The payment. The payment is reversed, charged back or confirmed as fraudulent, so the licence no longer has a purchase behind it. (The free theme has no payment, so this ground does not apply to it.)

Suspension stops future downloads, updates and new device activations for that licence; files you have already installed keep working offline, because Hacker Blue does not reach into your machine. We act proportionately: a licence suspended while we look into a problem is restored when the problem turns out not to be a breach, and we tell the licence holder which ground we are acting on and let them answer, except where the breach is plain and ongoing. Refund covers what happens to a payment when a purchase is reversed.

A theme may change, and a theme may be withdrawn from sale. New versions can add, change or remove parts of a theme, and Hacker Blue may stop selling a theme for new purchases at any time; for example if the application it is made for changes in a way the theme cannot follow. The site describes what a theme is meant to do; it does not promise future releases, a release schedule or continuing development of any particular theme.

What that does not take away is the purchase you already made. A purchase stays under these terms, and the licence stays active on the terms on License, including the updates Hacker Blue publishes for the themes your licence covers. If Hacker Blue withdraws a theme entirely and significantly reduces what a buyer has paid for, the refund route on Refund is open to them.

The law that applies to you cannot be excluded by anything on this page. Nothing here names a country’s law or sends a dispute to a particular court, and the mandatory consumer protections where you live, including the EU, EEA and UK rights described on Refund, keep their full effect. Whop separately is governed by its own terms for its own part of the transaction.
