Buying uses a Hacker Blue account, signed in with Google or an email address and a password. The purchase itself happens on Whop's checkout, never on this site.

How buying works

Four steps. Nothing is charged until you pay on Whop.

  1. Choose. Get HackerBlue Complete or Continue to checkout on the theme picker takes you straight to Whop's checkout for exactly what you chose.
  2. Sign in. The purchase is tied to your Hacker Blue account; the same account your licences and devices live on. If you are signed out, you sign in first and then continue to Whop.
  3. Pay on Whop. Whop shows the price, currency, taxes and any fees before you pay, and identifies Hacker Blue as the supplier; this site never asks for card details.
  4. Install with the CLI. After the purchase, hackerblue login authorises a device and hackerblue install <app> installs the theme; for example hackerblue install obsidian. Each theme's own page has the whole sequence.

Frequently asked questions

The most common questions before you buy.

Is any theme free?

Yes. HackerBlue for Ghostty is free with a Hacker Blue account: open its page, press Get Ghostty free and install it with the CLI. It is the same licence as a paid theme, with the same updates and the same three devices. Every other theme is a one-time purchase, and HackerBlue Complete includes all of them, Ghostty too.

What's the difference between a single theme and HackerBlue Complete?

A single theme is a licence for one app's theme. HackerBlue Complete is a licence for every Hacker Blue theme, including ones released later. Both are one-time purchases on the same terms, and the one free theme is the exception to both. See License and Pricing.

HackerBlue Complete is $29.99, one time. Limited-time offerUntil 15 November 2026

What payment methods can I use?

Whop's hosted checkout takes cards, and Apple Pay and Google Pay where your browser and device support them. This site never collects card details itself.

Will I be charged again later, or do updates cost extra?

No to both. Every purchase is a one-time payment through Whop, and nothing renews or charges you again on its own. Updates Hacker Blue publishes for a theme your licence covers are included at no extra charge, for as long as the licence is active. See License.

How many devices can I use a licence on?

Up to three devices you own or control, active at the same time. To use a fourth, deactivate one first at your account page, which frees the slot immediately.

What if I need a refund?

If a theme is broken, isn't what its page described, or doesn't arrive, Hacker Blue decides the refund; reach us through Contact. If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you also have a 14-day withdrawal right for any reason. Full details, including the payment-layer issues Whop handles directly, are on Refund.
