To update later, run hackerblue update chrome and then click the reload button on the Hacker Blue card in chrome://extensions. To go back to Chrome's own look, remove Hacker Blue there.
Updates come with your licence: hackerblue update chrome when a newer version is out. hackerblue uninstall chrome removes its theme files. Finish removal in your browser and choose your previous theme. Every command, and the rest of the guide: the install guide.
Chrome, default and in HackerBlue
The same view twice. The switch changes only the theme.

Google Chrome 154 running on Linux, the same page in its stock default look and in HackerBlue. Captured from the running app in a throwaway profile.
Chrome belongs to its owner; Hacker Blue is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.
The theme
HackerBlue for Chrome colors the browser itself: the window frame and tab strip, the active tab, the toolbar and its icons, the bookmarks bar, the address bar and the new tab page. It sets colors only, so your pages, extensions, fonts and settings are never touched, and web pages keep drawing themselves.
It is a dark theme. Chrome only installs themes from the Chrome Web Store as one-click installs, and Hacker Blue is sold here instead, so this theme is added to Chrome the way Chrome allows for your own theme: as an unpacked theme you load once from a folder. You do that once; Chrome remembers the folder from then on. It was checked against Chromium 151 on Linux, the open-source browser Chrome is built on.
