A theme file of yours with the same name is never overwritten, and a [colors-dark] section you wrote yourself further down foot.ini still wins over the theme.
Updates come with your licence: hackerblue update foot when a newer version is out. hackerblue uninstall foot removes it and restores your previous theme selection, keeping your later settings edits. Every command, and the rest of the guide: the install guide.

foot 1.27.0 running on Linux, the same session in its stock default look and in HackerBlue. Captured from the running app in a throwaway config.
foot belongs to its owner; Hacker Blue is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.
The theme
HackerBlue for foot is a colour theme in foot's own format: a small file that foot.ini pulls in with include=. It sets the text and background, the selection and cursor, link underlines, the search box and jump labels, and the sixteen terminal colours, so programs that draw in colour look right on it.
It sets colours only: your font, opacity, padding and key bindings are never touched. It is a dark theme, and it needs foot 1.24 or newer. It was made and tested with foot 1.27.0 on Linux.
