How to install

Three steps in your device's terminal. Every command is exactly what you type; copy it, paste it, press Enter.

  1. Put the HackerBlue program on your device

  2. Sign in

    A page opens in your browser; sign in to your Hacker Blue account and choose Approve.

  3. Install the tmux theme

    Terminal
    hackerblue install tmux

    Reload a running tmux with tmux source-file on your config, or start a new session.

A theme file of yours with the same name is never overwritten.

The theme

HackerBlue for tmux is a set of color options in tmux's own configuration format. It colors the status line and window list, the pane borders and pane numbers, the command prompt and messages, copy mode (selection and search matches), popups and the clock.

It sets colors only: your status line contents, key bindings and behavior are never touched. Every option is set quietly, so an older tmux that does not know one simply skips it. It is a dark theme, made and checked with tmux 3.7 on Linux.
